ALOHA GOOD TIMES
WEDDING DAY PORTRAITS
TRASH THE DRESS
While we did-away with many of the usual wedding traditions, we kept the most important ones that make for a good celebration:
2. Open Bar
3. Live music + Dancing
Bonus: Beautiful location + a sunset
We did not take these lightly, as you may
(or may not) remember!
There was no wedding cake- and no one even noticed.
We had no head table, we wanted to feel equal with every guest at every table. There was no cake, and no one noticed. We decided to focus on meaningful details and beautiful Hawaiian experiences that felt like "us", even if it meant breaking some rules. We are glad we did it this way, it was our way.
And lets be honest, no one actually likes to eat wedding cake anyway.
The best part of the evening for us were the thoughtful speeches and surprise performances.
There were thoughtful speeches that brought everyone joy, an original love song written for Nik and an unlikey performance by a dentist turned rapper. There was a mic-drop, standing ovation and so many stories we'll tell for years to come! We learned that we have very talented friends and family!
